Niche Your Way to Profits!

How do I work with young entrepreneurs, I am convinced that building a small niche business is the only way to success. In this March edition of the Small Business Tool Box, I share my beliefs about small business niche building. My own thoughts continue to develop in one direction, they say, " Niche building is the only way to help small companies gain! "
your customers have changed their habits to buy
Today, customers are better informed are. You have a better education. The Internet has made them better informed. Some people buy items from the Internet, but many more are using the Internet to get information before they buy on the street.
We live in a time of adjustment, again dominated by the Internet. People want things. They want it their way. They want it now. Did you know that you custom order a car, and did in two weeks? What do you think about the furniture dealers, who say it will take 6-8 weeks for your furniture? You are a dinosaur!
purchase Our culture is characterized by large retailers, Home Depot, Wal Mart, Sam & 39; Club and other national chains in various forms. They dominate both price and product selection.
Today, people buy products and services differently. You and your family buy differently. Customers have several offers. This has a dramatic impact on small business profits.
Old solutions will not work anymore!
In the past, small business owners use a variety of solutions to make themselves successful in the market. Ask yourself if they work today?
Small Business owners have the mass media, advertising to their customers. Radio, mail, TV, cable TV, newspapers were popular. Today, these media are effectively dead for small businesses! Year ago, it would have been the small neighborhood store that everybody knew about and for their purchases. People who no longer lives in these types of neighborhoods!
passion for your business and personal services were competitive tools, the owners of small businesses. Big business could never match the zeal of a small entrepreneur. What happens if you never had a chance to show your service and passion for the business? Here is what the soil in the industry.
people who purchased carpet in Home Depot were interviewed. She asked: Why did you " Shop at Home Depot? " Most people said they would prefer shopping at a smaller store to better service. But where is it stored? And when you see how do you know it is something good?
Home Depot is very practical. It is on the way to work. You can always stop and sanitary supplies to carpet in the same time. You know, they have good prices apply because they are everywhere! "
What is the answer?
As good as these tools have been in the past, they are not good enough to compete in the market today.
It is a strategy that can be used successfully in today& 39;s market place. It says small businesses Niche Building. Find your own place in the market and go there. If you try all things to all people, all things are not people! Niche
building
Niche building arises from four fundamental principles:
